During 2022, Água Hotels Spa & Resorts Group had the pleasure to welcome the North American professional cycling team, Team Novo Nordisk, who chose our unit Água Hotels Riverside in Lagoa, to carry out their training camp.

Team Novo Nordisk achieved a professional victory, presenting the first world fully diabetic professional cycling team. With a team of 18 cyclists who combine young talent with experience, Novo Nordisk feels prepared to face its 16th season in the UCI professional categories.

Besides an initiative to praise the strength of this incredible team, it inspires and makes millions of people dream, people who sometimes see this chronic metabolic disease as a barrier. For 2023, they believe that with dedication and hard work, the results will come, and therefore the smiles on their faces.

Água Hotels Riverside has been a favorite with sports teams because of its proximity to the region’s sports pavilions and the resort’s facilities. They can make use of the meeting room, the gym and spa facilities, thus allowing the preparation and necessary recovery for top competitive athletes.

In the case of cycling, in addition to all the points mentioned above, it is worth highlighting the flexibility of the hotel, in all the natural demands, of this high competition sport. From secure storage spaces, the flexibility of meal times and not least the proximity to roads and trails ideal for sports.
