During January, Água Hotels Spa & Resorts Group had the pleasure of welcoming the UAE – Team Emirate cyclists Rui Oliveira and Ivo Oliveira, who chose Água Hotels Riverside in Lagoa for their winter training camp.

Ivo Oliveira is a Portuguese cyclist who competes in track and road cycling competitions. He was the world and European champion in the time trial (track) event in the junior category in 2014. He won a silver medal at the 2018 World Track Cycling Championships and four European Track Cycling Championships medals between 2017 and 2020.

Rui Oliveira competes in track and road cycling. He won three medals at the European Track Cycling Championships between the 2017 and 2020 seasons.

Água Hotels Riverside has been the preference for sports teams both because of its proximity to the region’s sports courts and the facilities that the Resort has at its disposal. These teams can use the meeting room, gymnasium and spa installations, allowing for the preparation and recovery necessary for high-competition athletes.

In the case of the athletes of this sport, cycling, in addition to all the points mentioned above, is the flexibility of the Hotel in all the natural necessities of the high competition sports.
